Using Valtrex may increase your risk of developing an ovarian cyst. Talk with your doctor about your specific risk.

Valtrex has not been studied in pregnant women. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or if you become pregnant while using this medicine.

It is not known whether Valtrex passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Tell your doctor you are breastfeeding before using Valtrex. Valtrex is not approved for use by anyone younger than 12 years old.
